Upon the request from the Ministry of Environment, the study was conducted by researchers at at the National Institute of Radiological Sciences and the Japan Atomic Energy Agency to estimate radiation doses during evacuation from the town near the Fukushima Daiici Nuclear Power Plant.
Among 18 most common evacuation routes, there were differences of more than 100 times in the radiation dose of individuals depending on which routes and periods evacuees took.
