Video message from Hasegawa Kenichi to South Africa from Peace Boat on Vimeo.

This video was recorded on March 4, 2012 as a message for the Global Conference: Nuclear Power for Africa?
to be held in Cape Town, South Africa on March 8-9, 2012.

Hasegawa Kenichi is a dairy farmer and leader of the Maeda District of Iitate Village, Fukushima Prefecture.
Iitate Village is 30-40km northwest of the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant.
Although it lies outside the no-entry zone around the plant, the 6,200 residents of this once idyllic farming village have been evacuated by the Japanese authorities due to extremely high radiation levels.
