» Highly radioactive water transferred towrong building

TEPCO said on April 14th that about 203 tons of highly radioactive water have been erroneously sent to a building at the Fukushima No.1 nuclear power plant.

The water is unlikely to have leaked outside the building, as the radiation level of groundwater nearby has not changed, but TEPCO is checking why certain pumps were turned on and sent water to the wrong building.

According to TEPCO, the water contained 37 million becquerels per liter of radioactive cesium.
