TEPCO said on Feb 13th that it has detected a record 54,000 becquerels of radioactive cesium per liter in groundwater from an observation well east of the reactor 2 turbine at the Fukushima No. 1.
The radioactive cesium level far exceeded the previous record of 22,000 becquerels detected in groundwater taken from a separate observation well in July 2013.
