The Nuclear Regulation Authority warned the Japan Atomic Energy Agency, the operator of the prototype fast-breeder reactor (Monju) for failing to take appropriate measures to protect nuclear material from possible terrorist attacks and other malicious acts.
The rebuke is another black mark against JAEA previously criticized by the NRA over a massive number of equipment inspection failures at Monju.
