» IAEA experts check contamination in the sea

Two IAEA experts on Nov.7th began to help checking Japan’s marine radiation monitoring activities off the coast of Fukushima Prefecture.

According to the IAEA, Their findings will be reported to a planned IAEA mission due to visit Japan later this month for a peer review of plans to decommission reactors 1 through 4 at the plant.

As countries neighboring Japan remain concerned about the impact of radiation leaks from the plant, the involvement of IAEA in monitoring is expected to released more credible data.
