» Radioactive water might be mixed with ground water already

TEPCO said on Sep 5th that it has detected 650 becquerels per liter of radioactive substances from groundwater near a water leaking tank at Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant.

Strontium and other beta rays were found from the water, and it shows the possibility that toxic water from the tank may have reached the groundwater. About 300 tons of highly toxic water had leaked from the tank.

TEPCO said it collected the groundwater on Sep 4th at a well dug more than 12 meters south of the tank are where the radioactive water had leaked.
