According to the government source on Sep 3rd, the government will spend over 47 billion yen on emergency measures to deal with the huge volume of radioactive water accumulating at Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant.PM. Abe says this issue can no longer be handled by TEPCO alone. The emergency spending under the fiscal 2013 budget is likely to cover the cost of steps to prevent a further increase in contaminated water and to boost the capacity of facilities that can reduce the radiation level of toxic water stored at the plant.
