» Talk on bilateral cooperation in nuclear energy between Japan and India seem to be resumed

Even though the issues of Fukushima No.1 nuclear plant have been going on, Japan is considering resuming talks with India on bilateral cooperation in nuclear energy.Prime Minister Shinzo Abe is expected to promote exports of nuclear power plants to India.As part of his strategy to boost Japanese economy, Abe is trying to promote exports of nuclear energy to the world. For example, Japan concluded nuclear accords with the United Arab Emirates and Turkey in early May.

Many citizen’s groups and NGOs deeply concern about the nuclear trading policy of Prim Minister Abe and have started protesting to stop the nuclear accord between India.
