» Blackout in Fukushima Daiichi, stopped cooling system

On March 18th around 7pm, the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant has lost its power which is disturbing cooling at the plant’s number 1, 3 and 4 reactors, according to Tokyo Electric Power Company officials.

At this point of time, TEPCO says the reactors themselves are not affected and found no abnormalities. The nuclear fuel stored in the pools will remain safe for at least four days without fresh cooling water.
