» Mud in the school pools in Fukushima detected more than 100,000 becquerels

By the joint research of The Asahi Shimbun and the Citizen’s Radioactivity Measuring Station (CRMS), the high contamination of mud in the pools of public high schools in Fukushima prefecture was revealed.

The Asahi Shimbun obtained the mud with the help of three high schools and teachers, and CRMS measure the radioactivity levels. The radioactive cesium levels were 119,461 becquerels from a school in Date city, 104,100 becquerels from a school in Fukushima city, and 8,468   becquerels from a school in Minamisouma city.
